RIBE offers you all the services you need to implement your projects quickly and efficiently from a single source. Besides testing and analysis, we prepare expert reports on the condition of overhead lines, as well as damage appraisal reports.
In this two-day workshop we provide you with instructions and advice on the installation, inspection and maintenance of overhead line fittings to ensure trouble-free operation for decades to come. We communicate all relevant knowledge to you, both theoretical and practical.
Electrical field calculations play a central role in designing partial discharge-free components for high-voltage overhead lines. Using specialized software it is possible to calculate the electric field that is generated in the vicinity of the components during operation before the components are commissioned. This makes the specific selection of suitable components possible, even in the early design phase for the overhead line.
Wind-induced conductor vibrations jeopardize the reliability of overhead lines, so measures to protect against these vibrations are necessary. RIBE engineering ensures that these measures are properly designed.
Many overhead lines are either approaching or have already reached the end of their rated service life. Are the fittings and conductors in a condition that permits continued operation? RIBE engineers inspect dismantled samples of these overhead line components to assess their condition and serviceability, taking into account the regulations effective at the time of installation and the regulations that apply today.
On request, the RIBE Engineering team can carry out the mechanical dimensioning of multiple insulator strings in accordance with the EN 50341 dimensioning concept to ensure their compliance with the prescribed reliability. The calculation for establishing compliance is clearly documented.
The selection of fittings for high-temperature conductors is still a challenge. As a result of our research and development efforts over the years, we can now provide our customers with recommendations on the optimum fittings to meet the more stringent requirements.
In the early phases of project planning, only basic calculations are necessary to define requirements of fittings and pipes, for example. RIBE customers often request such calculations. We perform them with a commercial structural analysis software, as well as our own customized software tool.
