Cold forming (upsetting and rolling)
The cold forming process involves the production of a screw blank in a multi-stage process. With some types of screws, the thread is also created by cold forming. With others, it is created in a separate process with special thread rolling machines. The thread can be applied before or after tempering.

Heat treatment
Tempering of both steel and aluminum screws makes it possible to achieve defined strength and toughness values.

Mechanical CNC machining
If there are special requirements for the connecting elements (connecting rod screws for expansion shafts, etc.), mechanical CNC machining may also be necessary. This is usually done fully automatically, including appropriate quality control.

Customized surface coatings
The screws are protected against corrosion by individual surface coating systems. Additional coatings make it possible to provide a defined friction coefficient or other functional properties. Compliance with wide-ranging customer standards is part of RIBE’s daily business.

Semi-automatic and automatic component assembly
In our assembly shop we use modern joining techniques to combine components into assemblies or connection systems in small and large series. Simple, transparent and lean processes that are customer and product-specific and efficiently combine all assembly services in one cycle are carried out semi-automatically or fully automatically.

Automatic 100% test
Our automated 100% sorting department is the backbone of our quality control activities and logistics processes. For example, we test screws in terms of a wide range of dimensional criteria, thread parameters and cracks, primarily with camera systems or in mechanical tests.
